Want volume?

And I dont mean more volume on your ipod, I’m talking hair people!!!!  Be sure that when washing your hair; first condition and then shampoo!  Conditioners tend to weigh hair down.

Hair up

Best days to wear your hair up in a bun or ponytail is a day after you washed your hair….Same day washed hair can be quite challenging to put up!  Try it!!

Lamp Lives a Jeanie Cowls

Lamp Lives a Jeanie Cowls

Who said only summer accessories are light and fun? So are Fall/Winter accessories!

May 3, 2012/ San Francisco.
No, it’s not an actual genie in a lamp. They are cowls! Cowls are a “big turtle neck” said Jeanie; designer of Lamp Lives a Jeanie. Today’s fashion savvy consumer demands stylish yet functional accessories, and Jeanie’s cowls offer you just that! With fun, eye catching colors and silhouettes that can be worn from day to evening, you are sure to make a fashion statement.

“Cowls are made for the person” said Jeanie. She takes pride in making one of a kind pieces, using acrylic & wool materials. The idea behind her cowls is “to get that warm feeling around your neck without wearing an actual turtle neck sweater”. These cowls can we worn many different ways, they are very versatile! You can wear them around your neck as a scarf, over your head, around your shoulders or even as a skirt with leggings underneath. When taking orders from clients she is sure to first get a brief “about” the person for whom she is designing this one of a kind piece. She wants to understand her consumer. With just less than a year of experience in knitting she has made quite a buzz with her Giants inspired cowls! What started out just as a hobby has now turned into a growing business and passion for Jeanie.

Knitting is a way to escape and express her individuality; it’s a stress reliever for her. Her cowls are made to order, and although she does not yet have a website or a store front, word of mouth is what’s turning her cowls into a hot commodity. She was recently featured in SF State’s Fashion show and whenever she is wearing one of her cowls, she is constantly stopped and asked “where did you get that from?”

Summer time is upon us! Time for the maxi dresses, fab sandals, glowing skin, natural styled hair, and days at the beach! Dont forget to use SPF and keep your skin moist, lots and lots of water! And of course, to add an instant makeover to your look, add a bit of lighter highlights to your locks and its all about colorful nails…. Have fun, and enjoy.

Quick makeup glam!

Im not too big on wearing a ton of make up! I dont like to look pale either; I like to have a glow and yet look natural. My new trick to accomplish this look are false lashes! I simply apply the falsies, no mascara, eye liner and a bit of shimmery shadow on my lids and VOILA!!! If Im feeling extra edgy, ill apply a bright pink gloss. try it!
